An off kilter comedy about a curmudgeonly woman who runs a drugstore and one of her regular customers – young high school girl she takes under her wing. It turns out this girl has a crush on a certain boy but is too shy to make the leap and speak to him. Can the drugstore owner help her young friend find true love? And if so will her crazy methods actually work? Romantic comedy meets bizarre friendship tale, and all set to music by Japanese pop sensation AKB48.

Director’s Bio
Born in 1981 in Minamishigara, Kanagawa Prefecture Yu Katsumata is one of the busiest independent directors in Japan today. He already has eight short films to his credit, Oh! Otsuka Drugstore and an upcoming feature titled Audrey. He also directs music videos for some of Japan’s biggest pop acts including No Name Band, Mic Band and Volta Masters.
