A young couple’s marriage is brought closer together and then is slowly torn apart after the wife becomes pregnant with their first child. Starting out making music videos director Kotaro Wajima gives us a short poem about love and loss with Invitation.

Director’s Bio
Born in 1983 in Yamagata Prefecture Kotaro Wajima studied filmmaking at the Kyoto University of Art. After graduating in 2006 Wajima won the Grand Prix at that year’s Subaru Impreza Short Movie Festival for his film Shoho. Since then he has directed a number of short film, commercials and music videos. He recently had his half-hour short film A Third Skin screened at the Toronto Japanese Short Film Festival.
