Director’s Bio
Born in Tokyo in 1966 Satoshi Nagano is a veteran cinematographer and director in the Japanese independent film scene. His 101-minute 16mm feature directorial debut Uzumore was released in 2000. Nagano has also been the director of photography on Yoshihiro Ito’s Wife’s Knife and Hiroki Kawano’s Natsume. He’s worked extensively with the short film series Over8, from which Finishing Touch is taken. Also Nagano was the Director of Photography for Takuya Fukushima’s Our Brief Eternity which is also screening as part of this year’s Shinsedai Cinema Festival.
