2005 95 min.
NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERE
Tabloid journalist Hasumi (Masahiro Kurita) is sent to Cantella Island by his editor to track down their missing photographer. Could his disappearance be connected to the bodies that wash up yearly under the Mosulin Bridge? Or the ancient legend of a giant fish, the raigyo, that is said to haunt the waters around Cantella? The women who work at the brothel won’t say and after Hasumi receives an anonymous phone call telling him to get off the island he knows something is afoot. Sexy, and scary Thunderfish (Raigyo) plays like a Japanese version of The Wickerman.
Screening time: Saturday, August 22nd @ 7:40 PM
Director Touru Hano, Lead actress Junko Kimoto, and Cinematographer Tetsuhiro Kato will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A.
